Loops

So here is the deal with these loops: You may use these in a LIVE worship setting only. You may not use these in any sort of recording (either live or studio, worship or not). And last but not least. If you use these loops pleas let us know… it makes us happy :)

NOTE: These rhythm loops and their related title are suggestions only. These are mainly simple drums loops that can be used in a variety of songs.

Hey Dave. Thanks for the encouragement.

I checked out the LB version of Everlasting God… it seems like pretty simple rhythm loop that you could maybe replicate by tracking a choppy rhythm (acoustic) guitar loop (even just muting all the strings as you do it) into ableton and then throw a resonator w/ 100% wet effect on it. Just might take a little tweaking to get it to sound right. Add a shaker or hat beat and you should be golden.

Thanks heaps. I will give it a try. I only have Ableton lite for Pro Tools which I have never used.

  9. Jeffrey on August 29, 2007

Thanks for making your loops available. I have just started learning to use Ableton Live and would like to also use it to lead worship soon. God bless.

Hey, I love these loops. You make the drums sound so much like a real drummer. That’s something I could use education on. Is there somewhere you’d recommend to read about fills especially. Mine always seem stale. I read your post, where you said you add fills afterward, but any other tips you want to share?

  12. Troy on October 1, 2007

Doh! I Googled and found some stuff. One particularly great site, giving analysis of non-fill filles done by Jeff Porcaro on a Steely Dan album. http://www.drummingweb.com/lessons/lesson21.htm

Hey, just wanted to thank you for all your loops! They’ll definitely come in handy. Also, it seems that the “Sing to the King” loop is down. You may want to check on that.
