Whats to come… with your input.
I originally started digitalworship to make available answers to some of the common questions I was getting about using loops and ableton in worship. Since then its been killer to see things progress and develop to where we find ourselves today.
Ive been giving it some thought and here is the tidy new future of digitialworship:
* Video Tutorials on some of the key elements behind using ableton/loops/multi-tracks in worship (Any requests?)
* Gear/Product Reviews. I’ve had a couple requests… so here it comes.
* “Digital” Confessionals. With all these crazy worship confessionals, Im thinking, maybe… still deciding on this one though.
* DigitalWorship Sample packs. I’ve been tracking and sampling all sorts of loops I intergrate into worship sets. This is one way I am considering help curb costs (no worries though… they’d be cheep - maybe $5) Would you pay for something like this to help the site roll on?
* Loops. Im working to get licenses for what I currently have and for future content, so that I can make available specific ableton ready sets with loops and such for modern worship songs.
You might notice some rearanging on the site so be patient and let me know what your thoughts are.

I believe all of those are good ideas, but that probably would take a long time as well to organize all that content. I just want to say thanks for helping me out since I’m starting to learn Ableton, and I was thinking if you could show a video tutorial of how you would create a simple set for a song. Also, the Baronworks Custom midi controller is very interesting; hopefully, they’ll have a site up soon. And, I could probably support sample packs; that seems intriguing.
hey…
Ive got reason right now…and dont find it very user friendly…how is abelton different?
i would say ableton is extremely user friendly in comparison to reason, but thats just my opinion. The best thing to do would be to download the live demo from ableton and go through a couple tutorials from their site or online (check our youtube for sure). Within an hour or so you will be impressed how much you are already doing in ableton.
one advantage though with reason is their instrument library. for that i rewire reason back into ableton if i need it.
hope that helps.
can’t wait to:
- watch digital confessionals
- get abelton
- learn abelton
- ask you tons of questions
Thanks!
Hey,
Love the site. I am making the plunge into using Ableton myself, and am doing so at a 160+ year old First Baptist Church! I attended the Atlanta Users Group last night and am about to ditch the demo and move onto the real thing. Some tutorials on starting a worship set from scratch would be invaluable for so many guys making the jump. Keep up the good work!
Learning to loop!
